No it's rather a question that after a certain amount of progress factions consider themselves above being confederated. Maybe you fought some bretonians except of Red Duke or allied their foes? Last edited by Cockpuncher 28 Mar, am. BTW - Bretonian don't have confederation cooldown, so you should be able to confederate subfactions one by one. First, after I've researched technology, they didn't want to ally, but later - without problems. I wasn't fighting bretonian factions besides Marienburg, Red Duke, greenskins and elves I didn't fought much. Sacrifice chiv to declare war on them yourself. Best option would be to get them into a war they can't handle to make sure they grow weak. You'll eventually get pretty locked out of confederating if you wait too long and you and the other brettonian factions grow too strong. It's about turn 90 with all the confederation tech researched but none of them will join. I'm really struggling to confederate the lords and I don't know why.
